Evgeniy Stanimirov was born in Varna. He finished the French Language School and graduated from the University of Economics in his native city.
In 1997 he graduated from the State Music Academy in Sofia. From 1997 to 1999 he specialized in opera singing at the La Scala Theater Academy in Milan, Italy
He was a prize-winner at “Svetoslav Obretenov” National Competition in Provadiya (1995) and “Giuseppe di Stefano” International Competition in Trapani, Italy (2001).
He took part in a concert given by the La Scala Theater Academy conducted by Riccardo Muti (1999). From 2000 to 2002 he played the role of Ramfis in Aida directed by Franco Zeffirelli at the theaters in Busseto, Milan, Ravenna, Treviso, Bari and Novara.
In 2003 he debuted on the stage of the Varna Opera in the role of Colline in the premiere of La boheme by Giacomo Puccini.
In 2004 he became a soloist-artist with the opera troupe, where he has played the roles of Attila in the eponymous opera, Zaccaria in Nabucco, Philippe II in Don Carlos and Sparafucile in Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi, Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini, Leporello in Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti. He debuted on the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet playing Silva in Ernani by Giuseppe Verdi (2012).
